Scope of Work : Development of an EMS for broadband provisioning system running on an IBM Linux machine and providing boot up services to thousands of cable modems. System Overview : The main objectives of this system are : - Monitor memory counters for the different services (e.g. DHCP, DNS)
- Monitor alerts generated from the different services.
- Monitor IBM machine resources.
Development of the system involved following work : - Develop SNMP agent for reporting status on CPU/memory/disk.
- Develop client modules for the respective services to return counter values.
- Develop CLI to display MIB variables.
- Develop GUI to display MIB variables.
