The project was implementation of RTP stack for multimedia communication. The development was based on RFC1889. The stack can be used in various applications involving multimedia communication like SIP based VoIP application, RTSP based streaming application etc.

Scope:

• Compliant to RFC1889

• Support for unicast, multicast and multipoint unicast sessions

• Support for packet sequencing, to handle the out of sequence packets.

• In built support for RTCP (RTP Control Protocol) for control statistics transmission and reception.

• Jitter buffer implementation for better media quality.

• Support for SSRC collision detection and resolution.

• OS independent stack

• Thread safe stack
