The project was implementation of MGCP stack for controlling Media Gateways. The development was based on RFC2705. The stack can be used in controlling any Telephony gateway from an external call control element called Media Gateway Controller (MGC) or Call Agent.

Scope:

• Compliant to RFC2705

• Support for all the gateway control commands like Endpoint Configuration, Notification Request, Create Connection, Modify Connection, Delete Connection, Audit Endpoint , Audit Connection

• Support for all the gateway initiated commands like Restart in progress, Delete Connection, Notify.

• Support for all the basic packages like Generic media, DTMF, Trunk, Line, RTP, Handset package etc…

• Support for message reliability using re-transmission logic.

• Support for piggyback messages to allow multiple MGCP messages in one UDP packet.

• OS independent stack

• Thread safe stack
