Rebaca has been involved in certification
testing of SONET / SDH chipsets. The backbone of the certification testing
is the automation framework. The design flexibility of the automation
framework allows us to integrate new VLSIs and the new test equipment
based on client’s test case requirement. Rebaca executes these projects on
a turnkey basis; starting from test plan development to final testing,
report generation and bug posting, if any.
One of the tasks in certification testing is the functional testing of the
Device Drivers or APIs, which are actually responsible for configuring the
device, retrieving alarms from the device etc.
The automation test suite first configures the VLSI and the test equipment
based on the mode / mapping requirement of the test case under execution.
Based on the test case requirement the automation test suite can control
the test equipment and check for device side alarms and tester side
alarms, maintain a log file and can declare whether the test has passed or
failed.
The automation test suite also perform compliance testing as per Bell Core
/ ITU-T / Telcordia standards.
Rebaca has performed the Certification testing, API Verification,
Compliance testing various SONET / SDH / PDH chipsets and System Level
Testing. The typical system level testing are UPSR, BLSR protection
switching, Line protection switching, snaked through tributary test. The
chipsets on which Rebaca worked, can be broadly categorized as:
-
Add / Drop Multiplexer application
- OC48 / OC12 / OC3 (STM16 /STM4 / STM1) Optical Transport Processor for
SONET /
SDH Add / Drop Multiplexer application
- OC12 / OC3 (STM4 / STM1) Overhead Terminator
-
Optical Cross-connect application
- 40 Gbps Scalable optical cross-connect with OC48 / OC12 / OC3 (STM16
/STM4 /
STM1 optical interface
-
Ethernet Over SONET / SDH application
- OC48 (STM16) SONET / SDH chipset for multiplexing / demultiplexing
Ethernet data for SONET / SDH Ethernet over SONET / SDH application
-
Ethernet Over PDH application
- DS3 / E1 / T1 chipset for multiplexing / demultiplexing Ethernet data
over PDH network
