Protocol Stacks
Rebaca has been involved in protocol stack development & porting. The
key projects handled in this domain are:
- Development of 802.11b for a PDA environment
- Development of GTP Protocol stack and associated APIs
- Porting of Spanning Tree Protocol (IEEE 802.1d) and Rapid Spanning
Tree Protocol (IEEE 802.1w)
- Development of Layer2 Tunneling Protocol based on RFC 2661
- Development of Point to Point protocol (PPPoX) includes:
- Link Control protocol (LCP)
- Internet Protocol Control Protocol (IPCP)
- Authentication protocols such as, PAP, CHAP etc.
- Development of VoIP protocol
- SIP User Agent with support for “message summary” and SDP
- Implementation of MGCP stack for controlling Media Gateways
- Implementation of RTP stack for multimedia communication

Device driver & Firmware
Rebaca has worked extensively on Device Driver development for various
chipsets e.g. VLSIs for Set top box application, SONET / SDH VLSIs, Media
chipsets, DTV chipsets etc. The device drivers have been developed on
various RTOS (e.g. vxWorks, Linux, OS9 etc.). The key projects executed by
Rebaca are as follows:
- Device driver development for Ethernet over PDH chipset (Link to the
slide present in SONET / SDH domain)
- Device driver development for Set Top Box application
- Device driver development for DTV application
